& Murgor Advocates
was founded in 1992 as a family
firm by Philip K. Murgor and his wife Agnes K. Murgor, hence the name
of the firm. The idea of setting up the law firm was envisioned while
both were working in the State Law Office as State Counsel.
Agnes had
acquired extensive experience in the practice of commercial law having
worked in the Treaties and Agreements Department for 5 years. In the course
of her employment Agnes handled significant briefs on behalf of the Government
which ran into millions of dollars. Philip on his part had gained valuable
and much needed experience in civil litigation in addition to having successfully
prosecuted or assisted in several high profile prosecutions including
murder and treason. Their combination embraced the necessary expertise
and scope that made the firm’s services all rounded.
Over
the years the firm has grown and flourished to become one of the leading firms
in the country.
The firm has handled work ranging from syndicated lending, acquisitions,
mergers and takeovers, international trade and investment, local and
international commercial arbitration, sports law arbitration, banking
